Dear Parents,
It is with great pleasure that I am writing this introduction. My name is Ibrahim W. Mouzaoui, and I am the new physical education teacher at Courtenay Language Arts Center. I was born and raised in Algiers (Algeria), the biggest country in Africa! I spent some time living in Crest (Drôme), a lovely small town in France. I write and speak fluently Arabic, French and English. During my basketball career, I played at a high level across the world. I was a member of the Algerian National Team since the age of 16. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health from North Park University, a university located on the Northwest side of Chicago with strong Swedish traditions. In addition, I have an ESL and a bilingual Endorsement. In this school year, my students will learn a variety of health related activities, sports and exercises, from the very fundamental skills to the most refined ones. Alongside with staying active, my students will learn many other life skills that will inspire them to always be respectful, caring and creative. I am a big believer in the concept that it takes a village to raise a child, so I will be very active in my involvement with you, and I expect the same level of urgency from your side. Therefore, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at [email protected]. My Google Voice number (773) 599-2382 is open to your concerns and suggestions at any moment. I will be using this number a lot, especially sending phys. ed. alerts if we need to work together in order to keep your loved ones on track. Kind Regards, Ibrahim Mouzaoui |
